Tamil Nadu CM Vijay is set to undertake a significant three-day official visit to New Delhi beginning on Wednesday, marking his second major trip to the national capital since assuming office. Departing from Chennai on a special chartered aircraft, the Chief Minister will remain in Delhi until June 12, engaging in a series of high-level meetings and policy discussions. The visit comes at a crucial time as Tamil Nadu seeks stronger coordination with the Union government on development initiatives, federal relations, and governance priorities. Political observers view the trip as an important step in strengthening the state’s representation in national decision-making forums.
A key highlight of the visit is CM Vijay’s participation in the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting scheduled for June 11 and chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting will bring together Chief Ministers from across India to deliberate on cooperative federalism, economic growth, infrastructure development, and state-centric policy challenges. The gathering is expected to provide an opportunity for Tamil Nadu to present its developmental priorities and advocate for greater support from the Centre.
